God's Image.
While listening to the news about the Pope's visit to Spain, a story just occurred to me.
They say that one day God himself appeared, and he did so in the middle of Central Park, there was enormous bustle at that moment and a diverse multitude of races of people with different creeds and philosophies.
Everyone looked at him expectantly waiting for some special event, but only one of the hundreds of such different people passing by there dared to ask him a question:
-What is the true religion? And he continued explaining
-We are many Christians who have been desiring for an eternity that you confirm to us that we are the chosen ones and that our faith is the true one.
Then another one was encouraged to ask the question
-I have absolute faith in you just as my brothers do, all of us Muslims know that we belong to the true faith, are we not the true and authentic interpreters of your message on earth?
From that moment on it was no longer two people and three but hundreds who were asking the same question, each one with a different faith hoping to be the authentic bastions of God's word and his message on earth, not only did they intend to establish themselves as the sole bearers of the truth but they also demanded that God correct the mistake of the others, who are wrong?.
Then God answered:
-No one is wrong, you all are right, each and every one of you have an image that corresponds with your desires, your hopes and your fears, I am only the eternal mirror in which generation after generation humanity wishes to see its own image reflected, I have the personality and character of each era, of each religion, of each culture or of each country.

It is precisely those who bring you closest to your mirror who distance you most from me, and it is those who bring you closest to yourselves whom I find nearest.
-And now I will ask you a question, knowing all this, how will you be able to come to know me?
